8-week classes for 5th through 12th grade.
A learning approach taught by our trained skill-builders that uses physical poses and movements, interactive social games and mindfulness techniques. Our goals are to practice calming minds and bodies, staying focused amidst distractions, recognizing emotions in ourselves and others, and responding to them in a healthy, positive way.
We do this through:
· Belly breathing to quiet mind and body
· Yoga-based poses to release energy and develop strength
· Leadership opportunities to increase self-confidence
· Social-Emotional activities to identify feelings, elicit compassion and learn communication skills
· Challenges that practice impulse control, focus and positive self-talk
· Guided relaxations and storytelling to develop imagination
10-week course for parents of children ages 0 to 12.
This class is for parents wanting to enhance their skills in coping with the stresses of parenting, communication, and learning about child development and positive discipline techniques - and it’s a great way to get to know other parents. Free catered meals and childcare are typically provided!
